The pre-season analysis includes mathematical and statistical analysis and determination of the changes caused by the transactions. The power rating database is always updated after each game and every published estimate is adjusted to consider injuries, fatigue caused by the schedule, different motivations and many other factors.

The pick is profitable in the long run only if the current price is higher than the estimate. Otherwise the bet is not worth placing.

Relating to the question I had yesterday, how should I equate goals versus odd difference. Yesterday there was one game where you had <5 1/2 and -115 whereas I had <5 and +30. Would this be a play? What about on the team bet if laid a 1/2 goal more than you but received + 30, +40 or +50?

If the spread at your bookmaker is different than the spread used in our picks, it's best to check the numbers at our web site (www.sportsdiscover.com).
At the Picks-page we show the picks in similiar format as seen in our posts here, but then we also show our estimates for all different spreads. So, that's where you can make sure if your bookmaker is offering a good value with his line.

If Under 5½ is -115 and Under 5 is +130 I think the 5½un is generally slightly better. But it's safest to always check the accurate numbers at our website if such a situation occurs.
